Over the weekend, we received a big fat Oranges update that we thought we'd share with you all!

DOING THINGS!
So much to talk about. I guess I can do them in order... Back at the Maryland Film Festival in the spring I think, Dave Voyles, myself and a movie theater full of people caught the local premiere of an hilarious and totally true documentary about the race for class president at an elite school in New York called Stuyvesant High. The movie is called "Frontrunners" and it features two Oranges Band songs, "My Street" and "Ride the Nuclear Wave". If you noticed me shrinking in my seat while the songs were rather prominently projected it was because I think that is as load as I have ever heard our music. It was unusual. Anyways, the reason I bring it up is that the film premieres nationally at Film Forum in NYC on October 15th and goes and releases nationally on October 24th. The movie was really funny and a great time. Don't miss it!
The Oranges Band have finished the third proper full length album. After the usual amount of pain in my ass our new album, which is tentatively titled "The Oranges Band Are Invisible", will come down from heaven for a very brief visit this fall before returning to live in February. What?! Oh, I mean that we are having a "limited edition pre-release show" at the Ottobar next month on Nov 15 where we will sell the album in a limited edition package. The album then goes into hibernation for the winter before being released into the wild officially in February. We will also have the album for sale at our New York and Washington D.C. shows in November. The album features the incomparable talents of Doug GIllard (yes, from the loudest version of GBV) on the super lead guitar!

Come on, it's like a clubhouse. Check it out. Sign it up. All that!
